Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

OnlineClipboard does not require you to create an account. When you use the service, we temporarily store the content you upload (text, images, or files) along with a generated code. This content is automatically deleted after expiry. We may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention purposes.

2. How we use your information

Uploaded content is used solely to provide the retrieval service. We do not sell, share, or use your content for advertising or analytics. Server logs are retained for a limited period for operational purposes only.

3. Data retention and deletion

By default, shared content and its retrieval code expire and are permanently deleted 10 minutes after creation. Deletion removes both the database record and, for images and files, the underlying stored file — we do not keep backups or copies of expired content. Because content is retrievable by anyone with the code during that window, avoid sharing highly sensitive material and treat the code itself as a secret while it's active.

4. Security

Uploads are size-limited (images up to 10MB, other files up to 25MB) and served over HTTPS. Retrieval codes are randomly generated and checked for uniqueness before being issued. Because there is no login step, security relies on the code being hard to guess and short-lived rather than on account access controls — this service is intended for quick, temporary sharing rather than long-term secure storage.

5. Cookies

We use only essential, non-tracking cookies (e.g., to remember your dark/light theme preference). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies at this time. If that changes — for example, to support advertising on the site — this policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Children's privacy

OnlineClipboard is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
